Dow 121 Structural Building Glazing Sealant - 13.5 Fluid Ounce Dual Cartridge

Dow 121 Structural Glazing Sealant (formerly Dow Corning 121 Structural Glazing Sealant) is a fast-curing, two-part, neutral-cure RTV structural silicone sealant for use in structural and weatherseal applications. Dow 121 Structural Glazing Sealant applications include the repair and/or replacement of structurally glazed glass and other substrates where a fast cure is required; on-site structural glazing, including storefront systems; attachment of panel stiffeners where quick cure is required; in-shop structural glazing where the use of a two-part pump is not feasible. Dow 121 Structural Glazing Sealant offers a primerless adhesion to glass, alodine and anodized aluminum; adheres to Dow brand structural sealants for re-glazing applications and adhesion and structural strength is achieved in 24–48 hours. Note: There is no warranty on this product unless the user has already met the Dow structural requirement.

Applications

• Repair and/or replacement of structurally glazed glass and other substrates where a fast cure is required including storefront systems
• Primerless adhesion to glass, alodine and anodized aluminum
• Adhesion to Dow brand structural sealants for reglazing applications
• Attachment of panel stiffeners where quick cure is required
• In-shop structural glazing where the use of a two-part pump is not doable
• Dow approved sealant guns: Sultzer MIXPAC™ DP 400-100-01, Albion P/N AT400 Standard t 400 mL cartridge air gun, COX A400HPMR and Newborn VR400.

Limitations

Dow 121 structural glazing sealant should not be applied:

• to building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents – materials such as impregnated wood, oil-based caulks, green or partially vulcanized rubber gaskets, and tapes.
• to surfaces that will require painting or staining
• once the air temperature falls below 0°F.
• on frost-laden or wet surfaces.
• in areas where abrasion and physical abuse are encountered.
• in below-grade or continuous water immersion applications.
• to surfaces that will be in direct contact with food.
