Product Overview

Dow 1199 (formerly Dow Corning 1199) silicone glazing sealant is a one-part, neutral-cure RTV sealant that is specially formulated to meet the stringent requirements as a backbedding silicone sealant for the high-speed manufacturing of windows and doors. Dow 1199 silicone glazing sealant is designated for uncompromising adhesion to target areas such as wood, vinyl, fiberglass, aluminum, and glass window components. Dow 1199 silicone glazing sealant will provide many years of worry-free performance against the elements; rain, sun, and temperature extremes. The fast-cure nature of Dow 1199 silicone glazing sealant makes it best suited for automated glazing systems resulting in improved throughput and productivity. Because of its excellent adhesive properties, this silicone glazing sealant is outstanding for use as a backbedding sealant on sash, as well as cap, toe, or heel bead applications.
