GE SCS2000 SilPruf Silicone Sealant - 20 Fluid Ounce Sausage

GE SCS2000 SilPruf series is a one-component, high-strength, neutral cure silicone sealant and adhesive for use in structural glazing and on a wide variety of materials in new or remedial weatherproofing applications. SCS2000 SilPruf structural sealant is applied as a paste and once cured, it produces a durable, formed-in-place silicone rubber joint sealant. Durability-wise, GE SCS2000 SilPruf structural sealant cured silicone rubber exhibits excellent, long term resistance to natural weathering in conditions such as extreme temperatures, ultraviolet radiation and in rain and snow with negligible change in elasticity. GE SCS2000 SilPruf structural sealant’s combination of high tensile strength, high tear strength and the capacity to absorb high deformations (elongation) make this product an outstanding choice for protective glazing designs and seismic applications. GE SCS2000 SilPruf structural sealant's VOC is significantly lower than the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (L.E.E.D.) program’s requirements. GE SCS2000 SilPruf structural sealant is a neutral cure byproduct with low odor. Its ±50% movement capacity can accommodate 50% movement in both extension and compression and has excellent recovery after cycling.

Limitations

• not to be applied in underwater environments
• no food contact applications
• do not paint over cured sealant
• not for use as structural adhesion to bare metal or surfaces subject to corrosion
• not to be applied during hot or coldjoints weather extremes
• not to be applied to damp, frozen, wet or contaminated surfaces
• not to be applied to excessively basic or acidic substrates
